They're round-headed bolts that look like pop-rivets - try first with a good set of Mole Grips to get them undone. If all else fails, grind the heads off - I ended up doing that - then remove the threaded section from the hole.
You can then use any 6mm bolt you like, and you will need washers.

If you've got a full bulkhead going in, it wont matter too much if you dont get all the old ones out - it's a jam fit against the framework and as long as it's got most of the bolts it shouldn't rattle or squeak, and it will do it's job vis. stopping stuff hitting you.

Ok cheers sinny. Sounds easy enough. Just hoping the extra weight wont slow it down ha

:D No but be warned, you'll want to take the glass window out in the summer. You just cant get enough air through on a really hot day and you nearly suffocate  and also, it really screws up the rear-view mirror view - you cant see out through the back windows properly.

You might want to do that before you put it in ;)

I would seriously advise taking a jigsaw to that window opening mate - on a hot day you'll be glad you did - and if you smoke, even more so...

If you just do the window cut-out (where it's pressed as a shape) cutting about 10mm inside the "shape", you will be able to fix perspex in it, or bolt / tack-weld some sort of grill over it. But really, nobody will a) be able to see what you've got or b) climb through the hole ;)

It's up to you, but jigsawing it in situ will be a mare, and you'll have swarf all over the place
