I’ve got a bit of a clonking started from the back of the Doblo, so it looks like I’ll be into some work there in the near future – either shocks or bushes, or both. I haven’t really been under there to investigate, but I know already I’m into fitting the spring assists, because both of them have disappeared since it went through the TuV last year. :D
It’s all pointing towards “may as well drop it all off in spring” and at the least grease it all up.

As she’s very much a sleeper and not used for work as such, I’m thinking on lowering the back while I’m at it – looking at it, and having searched the forum for clues – it looks as if you can move the axle over the leaf spring and get 70 or 80 mm, which would be enough for my purposes. The pic shows there's enough to spare... I suppose then, fit shorter assists.

I’m not finding much on it via search. Has anyone done this, or attempted it? If so were there any issues or things to watch out for?

All suggestions welcome :)
