does anyone know where the door switch that triggers the interior light would be on a doblo cargo with rear barn doors?

I cant see anything on the door apertures, or on the edge of the doors themselves. Im guessing its maybe something on the door handle?

cheers

Ive installed some LED strips in the rear of my van in lieu of a standard interior light.

However i cannot get them to operate when the rear door is opened, however they will come on when either of the front doors are opened!?

Is it a case of the resistance of the LED's being too low that the rear door wont trigger them (or the body computer), whereas the front door opening obviously goes through the normal cab interior light. Or do I need to do some more wiring. The fiat light/plug is a 3 pronged affair with 3 different wires.

ps I did try the cab interior light in the rear load area and it worked exactly as it should.

Hi All
I just bought some LEDs to replace my standard interior cab lamp which the previous owner had kindly removed. They can be seen on Amazon under ASIN ref: B01DA5YMLY Audew Car Interior Lights. In the gap where the original lamp holder was, there's a block with three wires and a second smaller block with just two wires. I checked there is voltage in the big block when the door is opened. When I snipped the block off and connected the LEDs to the two wires I thought were correct, it blew the fuse, which also protects the radio. Any guidance as to which cables I should be connecting and why the fuse blew? I think it's a 7.5A so the LEDs have gotta be less than that? Am I approaching this all wrong? I just want to have brighter lights in place of the c r appy old lamp holder.

oh right. Thanks

sounds a bit awkward to access.

Mine is switched by a rocker that is also the lens of the lamp. NOt activated by a door - is just manually operated. That said, sometimes it works, others not and on occasions, I open the doors and find the light on!

Hi-jacking a thread! Shame Shame!! :) If your blowing fuses, I'd look at the amp pull of the lights you bought versus what is supposed to be there. You can always get around the problem by running a hot wire to the new lights, thru a relay on the wire for the old light. This way you won't blow the OEM fuse.
