Hi to all,

I was just wondering if its possible to remove the heater control switch on its own,

instead of removing the whole front panel.

I believe the switch itself is held in place by 4 small screws.

Thanks for looking.

John.

This is not definitive, just what I found when taking my dash apart to fit a new heater matrix.

Im afraid you cant even get it out with that panel off. In a bizarre case of 'reverse fitment' it attaches to the back of the actual dash and even once free of its fitting points via the four screws its too large to come out through its aperture.

I think its more integral to the heater air distribution box rather than the dash. It seemed to me that the whole dash would have to come out to gain proper access to it.

Hi SAABstu,

Thanks a million for your reply. I've been busy trying to answer this very question, and it looks as though...............................you're dead right.............100%.

I've seen pictures of the above unit..........from the back. It bears out exactly the very points you make.

Looks like plenty of cups of tea.....................and patience ahead.

Thanks again SAABstu.

John.
