Just thought I should put a warning out there.
I have a 2013 Doblo and the timing chain has just snapped. I approached Fiat and they are refusing to cover under warranty because the oil light flashed on and then went off 4000km ago.
I told them that the light came on and then went off again, the manual says if this happens check your oil, which we did and was fine. Although the light went off the ECU only registers that it came on. Fiat state that this invalidates your warranty if you don't get a full oil change

BEWARE!! They want £5K to repair. Would set fire to it but I have not finished paying for it yet. Just cancelled the order for the two new Fiat vans and have just bought Renault Trafics instead.

Surely that is unfair?

Surely you can argue that the ECU should be designed to detect the light going off too? Basically you have to take their word for it. If they are being accurate with the information then there is a limitation to how the ECU is working.
Shame the first reaction is to wiggle out of responsibility instead of making the effort to actually look at your oil to see if it is in good enough condition....if it is not then OK they have a point, if not then they should fix the issue....
Anyway, just my opinion :)
