Just wondering

I have a 2004 (54) Doblo SX JTD van which has key operated central locking, but would love to have a remote style key (as I only have the one anyway)

Is there a relatively easy retrofit option? (y)

It should have remote locking anyway if you haven't got a remote you have three options.
1) Get a remote key from the dealer (Bloody expensive)
2) Find an auto locksmith that can do an aftermarket remote for you.
3) Fit an aftermarket remote kit. Not aware of a plug and play one for the Doblo. But I'm sure its been covered on the forum before. If fitting an aftermarket system make sure you fit diodes in the wiring loom so power can't back feed into the body computer.

Thanks. I am not sure it ever had a remote key to be honest. Certainly not while the person I bought if from had it (and I have known him have it 4 years or more)

is there a way to tell if my van should have remote locking already? I can only tell the model and year.

Yup use the link to eper at the top of the page. Search your van using your vin number. Go to engine starting equipment/key switch ignition and see what keys are available for your van.
 
Can anyone recommend a good Ebay aftermarket kit please? Would like a tried and tested one, rather than something which may be unsuitable ultimately.
