Hi I was driving along 60 mph been running good no sign of any problems when the engine cut out I coasted to a safe parking space. And was towed home.
When I got home it started and ran sweet as a nut it starts first click of the key every time. it was not to long ago I fitted a pattern fuel filter, a code read pulled up nothing.
its done 150k on a 52 plate. There were no warning signs that it was going to cut the way it did and would not start wile waiting to be towed.20 minute wait. Is there a crank sensor on the 1.9D?

Any body any Ideas I filled the tank to the top at Tesco and as 3/4 full.

before I flog it I have owned it 13 years with out fault.

regards Gaz

does sound like fuel supply,
maybe get the pressures checked while cranking,
MultiECUScan is good for that, ;)

About 4 months ago I had loss of power going up hills would not rev 30 mph tops on the flat and down hill was ok (not clutch slip) I replaced the fuel filter when and back to normal.
I recon its times up 150k on a 52 plate its only worth 500 quid tops. not prepared to spend shed loads out if the faults not a simple fix. sadly time to move on Vito time me thinks.

Dose a 1.9D have crank sensor I don't think it dose?
