Hello, I wonder if anyone has any information to help me. I have recently purchased a 2008 Doblo 1.9 multijet with 34000 which is in immaculate condition, with FSH intact. The vehicle was however unused for 2 years as the owners Doblo van was of more use for work purposes. I only had it a week and the engine management light came on

I took it to my mechanic friend and it was diagnosed with a clogged DVP, my mechanic refuses to believe this diagnosis as the vehicle does not lack any power and drives as smooth as always and you can feel the turbo kicking in. As it was due a service in a 1000 miles I decided to have a full service with all filters changed and an oil change, we also put a cleaner into the fuel also and I took it for several long distance drives. Over the next few days the light went on and off and now remains on again, does anybody have any ideas? I remember reading up on it when I first had the problem and their was a similar case to mine where it was some sort of switch that had become blocked but I cannot find the information now I want to revisit it 'typical'
please help!!!!

Hi ,and welcome, :)
I believe you mean exhausts Diesel Particulate filter..;)

there is a fairly fussy procedure with a service where you have to use a computer to reset certain things ("parameters")

search in panda / 500 section for DPF issues,
TBH plugging in a decent fault diagnosing machine ( Eg -MultiECUScan) will save LOTS of head scratching,;)
