Hi,

I'm thinking about Multiscan or AlfaOBD (Android app).

I don't have a laptop, only PC and tablet. So I'm looking to connect up with a Bluetooth interface module.

There are quite a few to choose from (eBay Amazon etc) but which one should I get?

Any suggestions much appreciated.

Cheers

Ron

I've got both bits of software. Can't beat Multiecuscan on the laptop, but now I've got Alfaobd I use Multiecuscan a lot less as most of the time I'm just monitoring stuff.

I use this dongle:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-OBD2-E.../331206015268?

It fits nicely and you can close the fusebox lid.

This setup on my 2006 1.9 120hp it would only connect to the Engine computer until I hacked out a resistor on the dongle's circuit board (as described on the Multiecuscan website). It then allowed me to connect to all the other computers.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

Does the dongle work OK with the mod you did?...just need to know that I'm not accidentally going to blow anything up in the Doblo!

At the moment all I'm planning to do is change the oil and reset the oil warning light, can this be done in the app?

Cheers

To use AlfaOBD do you need to know your car's Key Code?

I just bought a Bluetooth Dongle but it seems my year 2000 MK2 Punto came out 1 year before OBDII became standard in Europe, so AlfaOBD might be the only software that can read anything off my car's computer.
