Hi,
The glass is held in an aluminium/plastic frame. This frame is held within the rubber surround which can only be described as similar to a giant grommet with an “H” cross section. The glass and frame sit within the inner part of this rubber surround and this assembly is then located in the opening in the door with the outer part of the rubber surround.
You can get the sliding glass out of the frame (a bit tricky as it involves taking the frame apart) but the fixed glass is solidly bonded into the groove in the frame.
From your picture it looks like fixed glass is broken, so I would suggest that you replace the complete frame. The rubber surround can be re-used. Better job would be to buy a complete window with frame already in the rubber surround, saves a bit of time.
Getting the window out is quite easy.
Get a single glass suction lifter tool.
Fix to outside of sound window.
Pull (quite hard) outwards as your mate on the inside peels back the rubber grommet from the inside.
Window will slowly come out complete.
Replacing the window takes a bit more patience.
See attached diagram.
Cheers
Ron
