Turns out the MUPPETS at my local FIAT dealership, when replacing the timing chain and doing an oil change forgot to reset the oil degradation indicator about 2000 miles ago.

Is there a surefire way to turn this off (and preferably the service warning)? I don't mind getting my hands dirty with OBD cables and cack off ebay if it shuts it up.

It's an 06 MultiJet Active.

I would go back to the dealer but a call suggest that they deny it was them (WTF!) and that they wouldn't even open the door for less than £35.

Will try Multiecuscan. I'll find a cable on ebay for it.

Thanks :)

I'll name and shame them after the other warrantied work they did has expired!

If Fiat dealer should of turned the oil light out then take it back now! Delaying it will cause the DPF to try and regenerate leading to diesel in the sump then you could be in real trouble!

Good point - thanks for the tip. Will drag it back round there this week. Thanks again :)
