Dont think leaf springs are the problem as been around for years. The fact aftermarket shocks last a lot longer proves poor bonding or quality of the rubber bush
Like I said if their making a racket then its just the plastic sleeve. 70,000 none replaced.Leaf springs? WTF? They are coil's all around on the post 2010 Dobbies last time I looked!
I'm at 65K on my 2010 dobbie. On my fourth R/H rear shock absorber, third L/H rear (including the originals). All replaced under warranty or as a good will gesture by the dealership(labour)/fiat(parts) as I think they know these are a problem area on the dobbies. Also had front upper suspension rubbers replaced under warranty. I know the roads are generally crap and un-mainted in our little county of Rutland, but sheesh, just 15k per shock absorber is a dreadful turnover!
