hi all, i have developed an intermittent oil leak dripping under drivers side.
power washed around the sump area and drove it for 10 miles and left it an hour. just checked it and no drops on floor Doblo 08 cargo.
any thought please

If you have washed around sump area and no leaks so far you could have a slow leak from sump gasket?

Easy to do your self if you car SAFELY get under the car but do not over tighten the sump bolts when new gasket on use a torque drive as if you strip thread on any of the bolts will cause uneven fit of sump if at all in doubt of how to do it get someone who knows what they doing to do it. Not a big ir expensive hob if it is sump gasket always looks worse than it is.

Hope this helps a little.

If the sump itself isn't leaking, it is possibly from the crank shaft oil seal at the front pulley. They are guilty of wearing (due to the constant spinning of the shaft) at the end where the pulley meets the crank.

However, in saying that, they also develop leaks at the intercooler/pipe connections, but these can be spotted because there will be a distinct lack of power as the hose will have burst or the hose clip let go.

Oil is sometimes difficult to trace to source as there are many angles and corners where it will use gravity to get to earth....
