Hi all, new boy here so I will say hello first. Duplo 2004 1.2 petrol
Just lately been having problem starting first thing in the morning, i'ts as if the battery is flat. Put in a new battery and after 3 days same thing. I have an auto electrician have a look and he says there is nothing draining the battery so now at a loss. The only thing that I can think is the starter motor may be the problem. Any ideas anyone.

I take it he's checked the earth leads are clean & tight?

I just had issue with a Rover with a similar problem, except its battery only lasted a few hours.

It turned out the alternator was faulty. It was putting out 14.2 volts, but very little amps.

Check the alternator output under load.

Well hopefully he has done that, I did notice today that the electric windows worked without the ignition being on, always had to have it on in the past.
