I recently bought a damaged doblo and have replace the radiator.
The two radiator hose connectors have a stupid retaining clip and cannot be bought on its own.
The only solution (according to main dealer) is to buy the complete connectors at a cost of £100 including vat
Any ideas anyone?

No, this type of clip pushes through the middle of the plastic hose connector.
I have never seen this design before.

Hi, when I changed my rad on my 2003 1.9 JTD last year, I came across the same problem. At first I couldn't push the thin metal clip inwards to release the hose connector. So I cut the clear plastic section off the old rad, and cut along the side of this in two lines, then picked away at this small section until I could push the metal clip inwards to release the hose connector. But be careful as there is a "O" ring inside this cut off section which is on the hose connection side. I used a bit of washing up liquid inside this connection to push the connector back onto the new rad. I use my electric multi-tool to cut all the plastic parts, as I could cut along the inside edge of the plastic. The reason I had to change my leaking rad was due to the plastic frame of the electric fan rubbing on the rad, so I used a small bit of anti-slip foam matting I use with my router between the rad and electric fan frame.

If it's like the picture below, it's a quick release connector, squeeze the raised metal parts together while pulling the hose complete with plastic elbow off the radiator.

Although they are known as quick release connectors, they are not always quick to release once the clip is full of crud.
