my dobby suddenly stopped starting checked it out today and I have no power feed from ign switch to the starter. help

It is very possible the ignition switch has burned out or (as happens in some VW's) the end of the ign barrel has broken off preventing a contact.

Start at the ign switch to check for a live feed and follow the wire.

Of course, it may simply be a bad contact at the solenoid. Have you removed it and given it a scrape with a needle file?
