i have a doblo 07 multijet and its as flat as a fart ?????????


the mechanic as told me that every thing is working but its not creating enough air to mix with the diesel hence no power ????????????

the list here we have checked or renewed

injectors checked ok

turbo stripped renewed parts ok

exhaust new front to back including cat n dpf

maf checked ok

air filter new

brake switch new

intercooler new

all pipes stripped and checked ok

vac ok

actuator working to stop ok

no fault warning at all

any help would be greatly accepted

I'd be inclined to change your mechanic! Engines don't 'create' air, they suck it in. The turbo on the other hand, pumps it in under pressure.

Is the management light on (little yellow engine shape on dash)?

If there is a problem with 'air' the usual flag is loads of black or grey smoke from the exhaust. What happens is the injectors squirt fuel, but the engine isn't breathing properly so the fuel is partially burned & black.

It could be a hole in the air intake system (the intercooler hose runs close to the gearbox on these and are prone to wearing a hole on the section nearest the gearbox.

Another problem is the intercooler is low down and the hose clip gets all the dirt from the road thrown at it, so it rusts really badly and can snap loose.

If that happens, the clip will fall off and the hose will pop off the intercooler.

However, my guess is a smaller hole, which initially allows the turbo pressure to come up, then it disappears or the wastegate is jammed open allowing the pressure to fall through the exhaust.

The trouble with not seeing it is I am throwing guesses in the air (no pun intended ).

Have a look at all the hoses and check the intercooler for pin holes.

thanks for reply yep there was loads of grey smoke since turbo has been repaired its now black which is un burnt fuel so car not getting the right air mixture

have tried another cooler replaced all clips with new and can not see a hole any where



the dpf was empty when i mean empty it was like a straight through pipe so we are wondering if some one as messed with the ecu ie knocking off the regen etc

pulling hair out so going to stealers on monday to see if they can sort it
