Can anyone tell me which sensor controls the heater plugs on a 1.3 Multijet ?

Thanks Colin

Thanks for that
Where does the ecu get its readings from ? Or is it just the temp sender ?
Cheers Colin

Just fitted new glow plugs and light only comes on for about a second.
My main problem is that van refuses to start when warm without a tow or squirt of easy start. Wondering if there is some sensor giving wrong info.

possibly, glow plugs wont affect a warm start so I would be looking towards a diagnostic and monitoring the parameters. Did it suddenty not start or become like this over time?

I have had trouble with MAP sensors on the vauxhalls with the 1.3JTD engine causing long and sluggish starting, this sensor also gives the outside temp reading.

Just started suddenly .
I knew the glow plugs where not working that's why I changed them (Suspect they will stay on longer in the morning when its cold) Its the not starting when warm that's beating me Don't understand why it will start in the length of its self with a tow.

I would back up what T14086 says. Stick to the simple things first. One of the temperature sensors not working properly and confusing the computer would be a good starting point. If a car won't start when warm you can sometimes fool the computer by unplugging the sensor. It is not unheard of for a temp sensor to fail and fail to show a fault code so don't completely rely on any electronic diagnostics.
