Anyone shed some light on fault.
Refused to start this afternoon and got mate to tow it Started within length of it self no problem. Left it running outside for 30mins to try and make sure battery has life in it for the morning just went out and switched it off Tried to restart it and it just refuses to start (Turns over well enough)
HELP HELP !!!

Can anyone help !! Done the same again this morning Getting really annoying now

Warm the glow plugs twice and then try?
Turn the key to switch the ignition on, wait for the glow plug light to go out, switch ignition off and then back on straight away and wait for glow plug light to go out again then start.
That should hopefully help? Fiat diesels don't seem to like the cold, my mum and dads 1.9 m-jet has to have them warmed twice and also I know a few of the lads on here with 1.9 grande puntos do the same.
Worth a try?
Also get the battery tested properly, diesels need a strong battery especially in the cold.

Problem is not starting from cold (That's fine) It wont start when warm. Just drove 20 miles and tried to restart as soon as stopped and it just refuses. Thanks for you help anyway .

Sorry I must have mis-read the post.
Are there any engine lights on? So you could read any codes?
I have no idea what this could be but I think i've seen people post similair problems, have you searched?
Warm starts are always a pain to diagnose.

Have now discovered that with a drop of easy start sprayed in it will start
Now even more confused !!

i am currently having exactly the same problem with a 1.3 multijet, i have fitted a fuel pressure regulator, pressure sensor, high pressure pump and a crank sensor and still the van will only start with easy start or on a jump. what i did notice is that i have no crank reading when im turning the engine over but it comes in when the van starts, ive done a current draw test on the starter motor and also tried starting it with the alternator disconnected. the fuel pressure reading is very low so i blocked off all four injectors and cranked it over to see if the van was building pressure which it still isnt, im leaning towards a timming fault at the minute but any suggestions would be very well recieved. thank you

Glad Im not the only one LOL
Will keep trying and keep my eye on hear for any advice Hope you get it sorted soon Cheers Colin

have now got the flywheel out of the doblo as i think somebody has changed it and possibly put the wrong one back in thus the crank sensor isnt picking up the tdc marker, does anybody know of any different types of flywheel in these vehicles?:bang:

Do you think somebody as swap the flywheel for a solid one to get rid of the Dual Mass Flywheel?

If it starts fine from cold but not warm then the crank sensor must be ok, you have changed this anyway. Possible the cam sensor is at fault as it is only used at start up to determine the position of the pistons and could be breaking down when warm/hot......I assume if left for a few hours it starts ok?

Otherwise you will need to monitor and record the parameters when the vehicle is cold and hot.

Has been suggested to me that my problem may be the injector pump worn (Cant get pressure up when warm) Do you think this sounds likely ?

Have now discovered that at cold start it has approx. 280 bar pressure Desired 315 bar pressure (Will start)
When warm Fuel Pressure 6bar Desired Pressure 300 bar (Wont start)

Any help appreciated.

I was hoping your's was not going to be like mine---see my post "2,000 miles from home" But it's begining to sound like it.
My problem started with intermitent starting hot or cold. It started easily with a slight bump or squirt of easy start. Then only started when hot.

Beware Easy Start as I am not sure if it was this that wrecked 2 starters or simply poor quality aftermarket starter motors??
When you use it make sure the engine is spinning and only a 1 second squirt at a time.

Before you spend money----Check if the starter is drawing the correct power.
If I can be of further help let me know.

got mine sorted after taking out the engine and box and completely resetting the timming she started and away she went, i estimate she was out a tooth , we cant tell as she has a floating crank which moved when we took the pulley off. but never the less shes on the button and the customer is away(slightly lighter in pocket) but happy!
