I have a 2010 cargo the rear suspension is very noisy it's been in the garage and they can't find anything wrong has anyone else had the same issue it's only done 36000 and has only been used for carrying light loads

squeaking or knocking?????
I have the same problem with my Doblo 04 model 3 years back. Managed to narrow down to the rear anti roll bar bushes. Since I couldn't get any parts in this part of the world I got my mechanics to modify the bushes....everything back to normal then. Hope it helps.

I have an '03 Doblo which I bought second hand, at 23K miles.

On the test I noticed a slight light knock from the rear. It was a failed damper, and was replaced, with its pair, for free. It was apparently part of a known faulty consignment.

Ditto, just outside the warranty, the front top end suspension bearing. They replaced these two as well - another faulty consignment - but this time I had to meet half the cost.

Needless to say my next car is unlikely to be a Fiat.

Did/do Fiat put out a recall notice for known faulty parts?

The car had been recalled for a couple of things (can't rememeber what right now) but neither the dampers nor the top strut mounts were included. I was told at point of sale that all the published Fiat updates and checks had been made.

The dealer told me that there had been cases of faulty dampers and mounts, but that these were not automatically replaced in cars from any particular manufacturing batch - because not safety related I suppose

Thanks go that I had the van serviced not long ago and I was told they could find nothing wrong no surprise there then and no recall was mentioned ?

It's the rear shocks... had them replaced twice in my 2010 Doblo. Second replacement set was just a couple of months after the first lot were replaced. All done under warranty. Been fine since at the back-end. Last month it was the front upper suspension mounts that required replacement for a front end knock.

Dobbie had done 40k when then rears failed and just over 50k when the front went. Not been carrying anything particularly heavy - but do have aux 12v leisure battery and Engel fridge/freezer fitted in the boot permanently...

Cheers,

Jon.

If its not the dampers don't rule out the rear anti-roll bar drop links. You would be surprised the number of mechanics whom don't know how to test these for failure.

The MoT tester should know, ask him to check ;)

I know the Peugeot Expert suffers from rear bush problems, BUT it's not an MoT fail unless they are seriously moving!!

Thanks for your info I think I'll get the shocks and anti roll bar bushes changed and see how we go
