Any help would be appreiciated I have A 2005 1.3 multijet doblo with a rear tailgate When the rear wiper is switched on the wiper motor buzzes and tries to move ,if the wiper is pulled off the screen without friction the motor works ok. The wiper motor was replaced with a brand new item and there was no change.
When you press the brake pedal the rear wiper tries to move, the center brake light in the tailgate just glows you can only see this by removing the lens cover. Also the front side lights work. The rear brake lights [not the one in the tailgate]work normally. Would any one know how i could check where the problem lies?

Thanks for that please bear with me for a while it will probably take me a time to track it down.

Hi,sounds like you have an earthing fault with wiring in rear doors and wiper motor trying to earth through other circuits, could also be wiring bared and various wires touching, most likely place is where wiring enters rear door through rubber gaiter, pull back gaiter and inspect wires. Could add temporary piece of wire from good earth point to bracket on wiper motor and see if cures fault, then investigate fault or add additional earth wire, hope this helps regards John.
Did reply to your other post as well.

Thanks for your help it was a broken wire in the rubber gater. Repaired and all working ok now

Had exactly the same problem.. My mechanic suggested an auto electrician so I took
It in yesterday go it done.. Noticed after picking it up that the rear washer jet wasn't spraying
Looks like the guy has messed up and damgaged the hose somehow where the wires were
repaired.. All soaking wet... Got to go and try and get it sorted at 10am today.. ?

Just goes to show try doing things yourself, better than paying to have more problems from so called experts:bang:

Ade:wave:
