I bought a van last night 1.9 cargo diesel TDI, it had a bit of a shake, I rather silly dismissed it and bought it, drove it back from notts and it felt great.

when idal it really shakes but on road it doesn't, if I sit still it really shakes, please help me and advise what I should do as money is a big issue, I only paid £1200, its 117000 and a 2005 plate, im in luton.

FIAT don't make a TDi, :confused:
BUT if it's lumpy at tickover then seems smoother at rev's then 1 cylinder is weak,
no hints of oil / fluid leaks?,
no warning lights..??

NOT smoking from exhaust..??

could be a bad injector - BUT this would normally put on a warning ( MIL),
may well be wear in the cylinder / valvetrain, :idea:
