I have fitted a towbar and now working on wiring. I have wired in a relay for each socket and have found a route down the off side of the car (under the trim) for the 12v supply wire but cannot see how to pass it through the bulkhead to make the fused connection to the battery positive.
My doblo is a 2003 1.9 jtd.
Suggestions will be realy appreciated

Hi,

Had the same dilemma, couldn’t find a way through the bulkhead.

So put the cable in some of that black flexible trunking, passed it through a grommet in a hole drilled in the floor the floor under the passenger seat and then snaked it up to the battery.

Plenty of strategically placed zip ties to hold it in position.

Good thread here: https://www.fiatforum.com/doblo/116217-towbars-here-we-go-again.html

Cheers

I also put a guide up for routing a wire through to the engine bay

https://www.fiatforum.com/doblo-guides/293451-cab-engine-bay-cable-route.html

It actually takes the wire into the wing, in the cavity created behind/above the plastic wheel arch trim & brings it into the engine bay through one of the two massive holes alongside the battery.

I took the opportunity to pull a couple of spare lengths of cable and a length of string just in case I need power for another project.
These are all in place, tied up out of the way but ready to go.

Thanks to both responses. I have already routed the cable down the drivers side of the car so will take a look under the carpet tomorrow in the hope of using one of the suggestions made.
Still baffled that there is not an easier way to follow the main loom. It loks like a major dismantling of the dash board and controls to find it!

you can pick up a live feed from the internal fuse box so you dont need to go inside the engine bay ?
I did for a phone charger, i scotch locked a new cable on, and then through an inline fuse
