Hi all, lookin for anyone had similar fault and any cures. 2001 1.9 non turbo Doblo
starts but doesn't respond to throttle,if pedal depressed will eventually build up part revs,idles faster than normal and EML light on. No codes stored and when I turned it off and started again,light was off and ran fine,idles normally?
It had been stood for a week and did the same about 5000 miles ago,possibly again after standing for a while.
Runs fine now and no EML,just concerned may do it again when out and about.

I think i have been through neary all the 1.9D foibles. At the moment the second starter motor in its 147K life has gone t_ _ s up.
I am lucky to have a friend, diesel ace that can fix almost the impossible!
Back to your problem. It sounds like either your diesel pump or maybe the ECU. neither a cheap fix.

Get the rotor position sensors in the pump checked (measured).
