My doblo cargo van has started squeaking/rattling and had it diagnosed by a specialist as 'the thrust bearing'. They said its strange though, as depressing the clutch makes no difference to the noise but were 100% that its the thrust bearing?!! Quoted £795 to replace dual flywheel and clutch. My usual garage say there's no need to replace the DFW and quoted £350 to do the clutch. Any thoughts?

Dont think you will realy know until the box is out ,when u have a noisy thrust bearing pressing the clutch 9-10 would take the noise away.My Friend Ade has just done the clutch on my 1.9jtd ,i thought it time for a new one at 127,000 miles but being fair there was still meat on the plate.Ebay aint a bad place for a clutch,i had mine through Ade though as he got me discount through the fiat dealership he works at,but Genuine ones are Valeo and ebay has em

i had mine replaced in Nov last year. Cost me £760 for new clutch, flywheel & 4th gear replacing as it wouldn't stay in 4th

Just done the clutch on my 1.9 jtd doblo. Did,nt change the D.M.F. Its a myth when they say change both. Anyway a full clutch kit, thats the plate, pressure plate and thrust bearing cost £103. It was a valeo.
