My Fiat main dealer MOT man has reported the bushes as perished then cracked and a verbal 'they will need replacing next year'. That's a 3 year period. It's a 2006 model.

I was told you can't buy the bushes and have to buy a new shock absorber.

Had various estimates from £160 for two (Halfords) to £80 (ebay)

Has anyone done this job, think it must be quite easy; a couple of nuts and off it comes. Famous last words!

Anything to contribute on parts and fitting would be great.

Thanks

:)

I just had the same condition on my rear shocks I tryed to source the bushes on the net but they don`t seem to be a standard bush size, tryed to poly bush them but the size wasnt a common one so in the end after many hours on my lap top I had to bit the bullet and buy a pair of new KYB from my local parts shop cost £135 :(
