My next crisis:-I recently bought a 1.9D non turbo cargo,with suspect head issue,pressures up within minutes,constantly need to bleed system and throws most of it's water out the expansion tank!!!!:bang::bang::bang::bang:
anyway,after looking for another head (with no luck).Browsing on Ebay I came across several people advertising engines that fit Doblo,Multipla,Punto etc.
My questions are,do these fit?Can I use my Doblo bits on such engines,i.e. pump etc?Can a JTD engine be used without the turbo and use Doblo pump and other relevant anciliaries?
Or,does anyone on here have a good head for sale at a reasonable price???

What I dont understand is you have a suspect head and yet without even taking the head off you are looking for a replacement head or entire engine!
Suggest take head off, see whats wrong, it may not need a new head just a new gasket.

JTD: the "T" means turbo, so I'd assume that it can't be used without one.

I am very intersted in your post though, the old 1.9 Diesel is not known to be a great engine and was never much use in the Doblo, but you obvioulsy have technical skills or you wouldn't be going down the Frankenstein path of building an engine from bits.

How about a JTD from a scrappie, complete. It will fit, obviously, but the engine mounts will be different.

I expect most things are possible, in a Mad max world, but to get a very mucked about engine through an MOT would be difficult, no?
