I have a 2002 Doblo elx 1.9jtd. In the next few months I will be moving to Spain and am considering taking the Doblo, has any one had any experience of converting a doblo lighting for driving on the left ?

I've used beam benders for a 2 month trip. Worked well. As for a full conversion, a dealer will be able to advise whether the beam angle can be adjusted or whether you need new lights. I'm sure they can supply them if so.

I think you may have problems with the Spanish version of the MOT if you try to keep RHD headlamps in Spain even with deflectors. It shouldn't cost too much to get a pair from a local scrappy and put them in. Most likely no installation problems.

Hi, I brought my Doblo 1.4 to Spain in 2011. I had it fully converted to Spanish plates and yes you have to change head lamps. I went to a local Fiat dealer here in Spain and bought the headlamps and they fitted them also for alignment. You cannot use deflectors it will fail the ITV (MOT) test.

Also if you have only one reverse lamp you will have to change sides. I just added a wire to the original UK lamp and carried it across to the left side and wired it in and fitted the bulb. The rear light cluster has fitting for both sides so you do not need new cluster.

Sorry I should have said "Rear Fog Lamp" not reverse lamp.
