Whilst driving along it feels like the enging or the throttle stops, if i do throttle and rev again it is ok for a short while, I am going to change the fuel filter, but if this happens again wouldit be the fuel pump, 1.9jtd elx.

I have a similar problem, but didn't realise how many possible faults could cause it until I joined this forum. I am determined to crack it myself as I refuse to use the bunch of complete morons in Lincoln who shall be known as DISADVANTAGE FIAT. Won't ever be going there again!!!!

Thanks for the responses, I have changed the fuel filter and it is still happening, tick over is ok and usually at higher speeds, about 30 to 50 it happens, if I decelerate and accelerate it is ok for a short period.
Liftex can you emphasise a little more, what was done to recitfy the fault? I just hope that it is not the fuel pump, many thanks for your assitance.
