Hi Guys, Im a newbie with a problem, I posted earlier today an issue I am having with my double doors on my 2007 Doblo (this is in the technical section) Im thinking I should have put the post for help in the Doblo section!

If you can help I would be very grateful. My car has the double doors (wheel chair access)when I try to use the door handle on the door, nothing happens, it opens OK from the inside once I have climbed all over the back seats. Ive removed the door skin and I think I have identified the problem, when you pull the handle a steel arm moves up and down which should activate the release button (a plastic lever), the problem is it isn't engaging with anything. The only part I can see which it should be touching is a plastic lever but its about 2mm away. Ive attached a link below of a picture I uploaded to my garage profile, please let me know if you cant open or see the pic.

i have had this problem and i eventually found a bolt in the bottom of the door, put that back from where i found it came from and hey presto, i can not remeber full details of how it looked as it was a while ago, i did eventually change it to a full back door anyway and this was one of the reasons.

The operating rod (if I remember it right from when I had the problem) runs through the middle of the spring to the right of your arrow in the photo. It seizes up, so WD40 and wiggling it with a pair of pliers may help free it up. If it's worse than that (mine was!), it breaks off the lever attached to the lock barrel and then it's off to the dealer for a new one...

When I got my new one, they'd carefully greased the spring fully but the rod inside it was untouched by grease!

Hope this helps,

Phil

I too am having problems with the rear door not opening

Should I break off the handle to gain access as I have no side door and a bulk head

In need of help

Breaking off the handle will more than likely end in distortion of the door leading to further problems plus there are shear bolts involved.

It might be worth thinking of taking it to a dealer who can pre-order the required parts and carry out the job in one go.

Just a final note...sometimes certain information is best kept secret, wouldn't want your or anyone elses vehicle getting broken into;)
