The one thing my Doblo didn't have when I bought it nearly new that I really wanted was tinted rear windows.

I have read the previous threads but the companies that folks have recommended have been nowhere near me. Can anyone recommend a window tinting company in the south east ?

I am guessing £300-£500 would be the ballpark cost in the London area ?

Apparently, if you have a facelift model the interior trim needs prising back a bit on fitting the blinds if you decide on them.

If it's the new model then they may do a different set.

With the blinds, can you still see out of the rear passenger windows when changing lanes etc? The gauze effect looks like it would be pure black when viewed at an angle. Also do you have a join down the centre of the back window? is it annoying?

Yes the blinds are sort of one way, in that you can see out of the vehicle but not in from the outside. As a result, reversing, or lane changing is not an issue. However, unlike a tint, you can easily remove them in the winter if you prefer.

Honestly, the split blind on the rear is not a problem and I had forgotrten about this until you mentioned it, my wife who is particular at the best of times also does not have any issue driving or reversing the car with the blinds fitted.

one final point the reference about having to remove a plastic trim on the face lift models like mine is sort of true, the blind covering the rear hinged side windows in the boot can only be fitted by releasing the interior plastic trim in the boot and then the blind fits snugly behind this when you refit the trim.

There was nothing about shifting the trim on the instructions when I installed mine so I ended up installing them at a slight angle. I've left mine on all the time. I find the rear blind detracts some of the blinding lights coming up behind & I never really look out of the rear sides - and they do a reasonable job of keeping occupant privacy.
As i spend my days driving big stuff around, with limited side vision, I tend to automatically position myself so that I can see all I need through the front or the massive mirrors.

Anyway, as planned I Just had all my windows behind the driver tinted to the darkest tint available. Looks a treat. National company, Pentagon, £240, made a lovely job.

What I had not expected is that the car sounds slightly quieter inside. The plastic film (which was thicker than I expected when I handled it) must absorb a small amount of external noise as even my brother volunteered that he thought the car was slightly quieter and I had not even asked him.
