Hi Everyone

I have just bought a 52 Doblo 1.9jtd cargo. I have a couple of problems that i would like to sort out with the help of you if thats ok.

The van has remote central locking but when i press the one button key fob the red light flashes but doors dont lock or unlock.
Also if i was to lock the van with the key using the drivers door the locks would lock then unlock straight away. The only way around this is to first lock the passenger door from the inside. If i use the key on the passenger door the central locking works fine.

Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions
Jason

have you tried resynchronising the remote with the van? Not sure how it's done with Fiats as i've never had to do it with 1 before & have only had my doblo just under 2 weeks. It may tell you how to do it in the owners manual. I'll have a look later when i get a bit of spare time

With other manufacturers you put the key in the ignition, turn it onto position II then press & hold the remote button until the doors lock.

As for the problem with the van only locking by using key in passenger side lock, that could point to their being a problem somewhere within the drivers side locking mechanism. I had this with a previous car. I'd lock the doors & they'd all unlock within seconds straight after locking. Turned out that previous owner had removed the passenger side door panel to fit some aftermarket speakers & when he'd put the panel back on he had twisted the cable that runs from the door handle to the locking motor.

I just removed the panel, untwisted the cable & made sure everything was sat nicely before putting panel back on

Cheers actionman37, i have tried that way of synchronising but no joy and i have checked owners manual and i cant see it in there. Probably another way of the dealers making money!
I will get the drivers door panel off and have a look.
Thanks

nope, i couldn't find it in the manual neither. There will def be a away to resync the remote! there usually always is!

I'll do a bit of a google & see what I can find

hi,they always lock and then unlock if it thinks that one of the doors is still open.it seems to me as if its your passenger door at fault.the sensors for the door think its still open.could be a loose striker plate,or door lock needing adjusted, something worn or loose on the passenger door mechanism..you,ll find it..

A quick update!
The remote central locking now works after purchasing a new key from the stealers!! £280!:mad:

Still need to sort out passenger door lock as that does not operate with remote locking.
