Hi,

Just about to do a deal on a 7 seater family Doblo 2005.

I want to remove the back seats and install a parcel shelf, has anybody any pics of the rear of their 5 seater doblo?

As far as I can tell just getting the shelf is not going to work, their seems to be a few more bits and bobs involved.

Thanks in advance

Kevin

The plastic panelling in the back is different so you would need to replace them too. I looked into it with mine but was too expensive in the end.

Hi,

Many thanks for the reply.

I'll have to keep an eye out for a 5 seater in a breakers!

As an aside.
There's a couple of bits in cars which seem to have been given rather unfortunate names.
The parcel shelf is one of these bits. Over the years I've been sent on various safety courses to do with driving and one thing they try to drill in is not to have loose items in the back - a small bag of sugar on the parcel shelf (why would anyone?) will continue travelling at speed should you crash. The airbag might save you but the bag of sugar could kill you when it clonks you on the back of the head! so try to avoid loose items on the shelf?
Bearing this in mind, I've always liked the idea that you get in some cars whereby a spring-loaded 'roller blind' is used to cover the contents of the boot - especially the ones that hook onto the tailgate so they lift up as the tailgate rises.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. Do you know if you can get universal pull out boot space covers?

Kevin

That would be too simple.
I guess the best thing to do would be to take a measurement at the widest point you want & then look on ebay & ask the width of each one (and if it is 'shaped' in any way or if it simply a square pullout blind.

If you are never going to use the seats then it is far easier just to buy a five seater!

That said, if it was me I would fit a fiat dog guard and then use that as a way of running some kind of shelf across the load space to the backs door(s)
