Hi All,

My front tyres are down to the tread wear indicator (22.5k miles) and I will be replacing them in the next week or so.

I am currently running with Pirelli P4 Cinturato 185/65/R15 88T on standard alloy wheels all round and by default will replace with the same unless someone can recommend better.

The car covers 25-30k miles a year mostly motorway/dual carriageway.

Any helpful advice welcomed.

Regards

Peter

Hi

I have a 1.9 120 on 09 and only managed to get 15000 out of the P4's that came with the car.

I replaced them with some Michelen energy saver of the same rating or possibly able to go to a higher speed rating. They claim they will do about an extra 4000 miles than the next leading brand. I've done a shade over 5000 miles on them so far and they look brand new. My old man says his similar Michelen tyres have done 40,000 so far with a couple of ml left before they need changing.

If mine will do 40,000 I will be very pleased giving the poor shelf life of the others.

Iv'e seen a few people say they're not great in the rain, but I've not noticed anything unusual, but that may be down to the fact you don't do much cornering at speed in a Doblo.

Loads of life left in the rears but will no doubt replace with the same as the front.

Hope that helps!

Hi again,

Well a year further on and they will need changing again in the next week or two.

I opted for Pirelli P4 Cinturato 185/65/R15 92T's (rather than the 88T's) in the end and they have covered 26.5k miles so for me seem to be good for an extra 5k over the 88T's.

If anyone has any other recommendations please let me know.

A quick follow up, I replaced the Pirelli P4 Cinturato 185/65/R15 92T's with Pirelli P1 Cinturato 185/65/R15 92T's as the P4s were not available.

In the end, the P4s were replaced after 29k miles (running on the front) so hopefully the P1s will last as long too.
