Technical Smoking coming from front of van!

most fans come on at 96oC & off again at around 86-88oC

If you disconnect the temp sender the fan should come on by default, never bridge out the sender though as it's ECU controlled and internal damage can occur.

Which one is the temp sensor, i know there is two connection onto the fan.

Cheers everyone for the help. Im stick between fixing the van up and selling or fixing and keeping.

Spent alot of money on it over the last few years, But kinda love it still.

Its perfect for work and engine is running lovely, only done 87k

ok.

So stuck my head inside the engine bay. as you look at the fan.

There is a dobule plug on the left, and two singles on the right.

I tried taking out each one and running the engine, each time the fan did not come on :bang:

Does this mean the fan is FUBAR?

ok, so i removed the sensor, ran the engine and nothing happened with the fan. :(

* So if i have to buy a new cooling fan, where can i get one from?
Tried Eurocarparts, but they seemed really expenisve 3150-190, plus they dont have any in stock!!

A small update.

Still have no cooling fan working, i've removed every possible wire and had engine running, and nothing happens with the fan.

Work is very tight, so i dont want to run the risk of buying a new fan from eurocar parts (which is a special order, thus cant be returned) Or afford to pay for a garage to fix it.
Lucky im working local ish. So engine dont get too hot.

Now also looking at the heater fan, is this located under the glove box? If so how do you go about removing it as there seems to be many wires attached.

Oh and to add to my bad luck, my turbo now does not work!!!!! and i have a water leak from the water bottle!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The van has hit 80k+ miles and it falling a part quicker than i can fix it.

Says everything about fiats build quailty
