Any idea where I can get blinds for a 6 door Doblo please? They all seem to be for the 5 door on e-bay.

i'll now add to the list of mods a set of 16" Stilo alloys! Couldn't wait any longer so thought sod it & did the deal with somebody on ebay yesterday. Just need to collect them now :D

Try sitting up right like your mother should of told as a kid:D

Being 6'3" I find a lack of vision mostly when waiting at traffic lights and need to slouch to see them.

I fitted my old trusty JVC DAB radio the other week.
And,
DPF filter removed.
EGR blocked
ECU remapp to deleted the two items above and economy remap.

Stoked:)

No. DPF is not mentioned in the new MOT. It simply states that if a cat was fitted as standard then it must be present for the MOT - DPF is not a cat and is therefore nothing to do with the MOT. You might get a cheeky test station who give an advisory that the DPF was not present, but it is still not a failure issue.
I have also had the DPF removed (internals gutted and welded back up) along with an economy remap and EGR delete/block and it is like driving a different vehicle.
The car is much smoother, more powerful and far more economical to run - mpg has gone from averaging 42mpg round town to averaging 51mpg. :)

Don't know how these things work but when they connect your car to the computer at the testing station & stick a pipe up the exhaust, would the computer not detect a few differences from standard?

I also note that MOTs are all logged on computers somewhere so would this stuff not be flagged - and so an insurance company might take note?

Perhaps someone who is in the know can comment?

Yeah I was going to mention the MOT gas test as well, gonna try it tomorrow as I expect a big variation in results.

EGR works well with the DPF, IMO they should be in working order if fitted.

come to think of it, how does the MOT computer get on with remaps? Would outputs not have altered?
If this is the case, I wonder how many insurance companies actually know things have changed & are happy to take your cash whilst wringing their hands with glee as they know they can hit you with this as an excuse not to pay out?

Yes, insurance informed of remap (for economy not power) and non-standard exhaust system. Added £30 to the premium - worth it for the fuel savings alone. By the same token, how many people on here have informed their insurance company of new alloy wheels or uprated stereo or speakers which are also classed as modifications by insurance companies which increase value and/or likelihood of theft? ;)
The MOT on a diesel is a smoke test only and the remap has nothing to do with it as long as the car passes the smoke test. I also run an old (2002) Alhambra TDi which has moon miles on the clock and no DPF fitted. The EGR has been disconnected on the car for years and it always passes the MOT on the "fast pass" smoke test first time. If you regularly change the oil, filters etc on a diesel you should have no problems (every 5000 miles on the Alhambra). However, if the car is not looked after then yes you will get a smokey vehicle - which none of us want. Since removing the DPF on the Doblo, there is a tiny (and I do mean tiny) bit more smoke on engine startup alone but at no other point. What I no longer have though is a plume of black smoke as the DPF attempts yet another regeneration out in the countryside as I hammer the car down a motorway or "A" road.
Should regulations change (unlikely to go back as far as 2006 vehicles which my Doblo is) then it can be put back to standard. The real question is how environmentally friendly is DPF given the number of issues people have with them? Regeneration alone uses a huge amount of fuel each time it is required - not very green. I know that if it does become a legal requirement to have it fitted, then I for one will be very quickly switching back to petrol engines.:)

Indeed. Loads of threads all over this site asking "what's the largest wheel?" etc. however, on the subject of ICE, I found a list of mods (put on the insurance thread) and ICE wasn't mentioned. I note, however, on my insurance docs that they will cover up to £250. So, anything over that will be worth a mention so that it is covered.
What I didn't realise last time I renewed was that a towbar was a mod...
And looking at the list I put up, I see that roof racks are classed as a mod - so I guess I'll have to mention my rails.
Looking at some of the items on the list, I do feel that insurance companies are being a bit pathetic - mods include stickers, so that small pennant I bought on Blackpool pleasure beach...? and badges that make the vehicle out to be something it is not - so all those abarth badges on non-abarth motors...
Insurance companies are becoming too powerful, they can demand any money they like & we have to pay if we want to drive and they can amend the rules year on year without telling us.

Quite a while back, someone fitted a double DIN binnacle to their doblo but it seems that they are as rare as rocking horse manure - and yet I feel the doblo would benefit from having something like this - having a pocket above/below to house CDs or 'stuff'
I can't help wondering how cheaply one could be made - especially given that we now have 3D print technology.
it must be fairly simple to take a pic of the standard radio enclosure then photoshop it to double din size & give them whatever dimensions you want.

Just fitted new Mintex front discs & pads, new rear bump stops & some front mudflaps to stop my new vinyl graphics getting battered with all the crap off of the road!

Oh & have just put all the working parts from my 1 button remote key into a nice shiny new 1 button flip key case!

Scott, Amazing true dedication to the doblo cause whatever that is,
what is a Durite 140amp Spilt charge relay, what does splitting the charge do?
The doblo is a bit uncool in this country so if youre trying to impress the girls then doblo no matter how good doesn't do it.

(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)

Throw away ''Variety''...HAHAHAHA

Well Ive always looked at it like this, i love it and its different. Owned since new, holds many story's apart from the dirty side, she is 95% clean in that matter!

Trust me the rear has always been full of equipment.

less is more

Defiantly a Juliet thing going on but her name is Harriet by the way...He He

Durite 140 amp Split Charge Relay. This is a small box that fits inline with the axillary power wire to feed my rear two battery's and automatically cuts in at certain voltage and cuts outs and isolates battery's so i've always got the main one upfront ready to crank.
