No answers needed to this one but it might help someone else out.

My dad's doblo van recently had trouble with the key code light flashing, usual method of reseting failed.

Main dealer identified it as a faulty fuse box which was spiking the ecu. apparently it's the first case they've seen. 85 quid for a new fuse box but labour pushed it up to about 300.

It also seems to have cured a whole number of other minor electrical niggles as well.
