i have doblo 2003 plate 1.9td slx jtd. engine starts then run short while and cuts out.turn key off/on i can hear electric pump fill up fuel filter and cut out then repeat happens every time.ive tried a tow but wont even fire on tow, just engine management light comes on.electric pump seem ok new fuel filter.could this be sensors/desil injection pump.i would really appreciate some help as im new to this forum .hope im using it correctly.

I've no idea on the dobby but had a similar experience with an oil burner a few years back. turns out it had 2 pumps, an electric pump to ensure the filter was full - so ran for a short while when the ignition is turned on then another pump which ran while the engine was running (mechanically operated off the cam). After many thousands of miles and a lack of service from the previous owner, the lack of oil flow around the engine had worn down the rod which worked the pump.
It was 'just' working, enough to push through the system what was in the filter but not quite enough to draw more out of the tank.
might be up the wrong tree but cost nowt to have a look.

Theres an electric fuel pump in the tank that fills your filter and constantly runs wen engine is running
get fault codes read thats first thing
