I am Doing some Repair work on my 2008 fiat doblo 1.9 multijet and i have decided to put a low mileage 120 bhp engine (compleate) into the van instead of the 105 bhp.

i have overcome a few issues with the swap such as the egr system being different between the doblo cargo and the doblo people carrier and got the engine fitted... now when i go to start it it will run for a few seconds and the engine management light and key code light will go off and then the engine management light comes back on an the engine will stop!!

All of the Plugs off the wireing loom on my original engine fitted onto the plugs on the new engine eg crank position sensor , knock sensor, diesel pump etc etc.. the only unit which is the diesel pump looks different being my original being a bosch unit and the new one some other make?? (no stamps on it) but the wire plug is the same..

Am i right in thinking that the diesel pump maybe Coded to the Ecu?? is this why it will not run ?? Do i need to swap it....
