Just incase anyone hits the wipe when they have snow on the windscreen and mess up the wiper prak position, here is a few hints at what to look for. I never found anything very useful on the net this afternoon, so decided to write it up here quickly in case anyone was as stupid as me earlier.
My windscreen wipers found a new park position at the most vertical point of the sweep!
It's actually very simple and should take about an hour.
Remove windscreen wipers (obviously)
Remove the plastic windscreen valance (10 screws or so).
Remove the wiper mechanism, 3 10mm bolts
Unplug wiper mechanism.
Dont bother with the white mechanism that controls the park positioning as it's a red herring at this point.
When you have the wiper mechanism off, take a note of the position of the arm that is connected to the back of the motor. My arm was at a 12oclock position.
Unscrew that rear nut, prize off the two arms (easy to remove), and then set the arm to the 9oclock position and screw the nut back on.
Please note the "oclock" positions are when you are looking at the mechanism as if it was in the vehicle and not when you are looking at the mechanism from behind it.
Stick it all back together, and the wipers should be parked back in the right place.
Simple as that.
One quick hint, make sure the wiper is reset before you start. Eg, not part way through a cycle and you've pulled the power. If you pull the power before the wipers park in the incorrect position, the arm at the back of the mechanism will be in the wrong please.
Final tip, don't wipe heavy snow off the windscreen lol.
