Window came down then went at an angle, cracking sound. Mechanism sounds like it is going up and down, but window isn't. managed to get the window back into position, but what will have broken or come detached?
What will need to be removed and are the parts easily fitted.

The cables that pull and push the window up and down have a plastic guide, one or other has snapped,i have just had mine repaired with all new components, took the guys about 2 hours whilst i sat and watched, cost 60 TL for bits,60 TL for the work and they supplied me with tea.
This was in Turkey by the way.
In England this would properly be about £200 to £300.

sounds like regulator (but reg/motor as assembly from ebay/scrapyard) but mind you will need the white clip that goes on the glass and in the runner.

Hi Myles, I've sent you a PM
Cheers Clive

Why PM we are all here to learn off each another

The only reason I pm'd him was because the bits I need are on ebay but only available in Turkey, and I've had no response to my emails from the seller(s) so I'm hoping he can help.

are these custom bits as I have noticed a big interest in doblos in Turkey

No, standard parts but I can't see a fiat dealer supplying small plastic housings/wheels which are part of the regulator arm, they'll want to sell you the complete unit I'm sure. The only reason they're available in Turkey, I presume, is because that's where the Doblos are built. If you look in the photo gallery on here for Wednesday 27th October you'll see the 2 plastic bits I'm after and if you know where I can get them (apart from Turkey) I'll be ever indebted to you.

You've missed the point I was making, Yes the bits are available on ebay (not the one you linked btw) but I'm not getting any response from the seller(s) so was trying to see if the poster could 'short circuit' the system.

can you not just get one (complete regulator) from scrapyard ?

Yes as a last resort. They want 60 euros from a scrap yard over here  and as its such a pain to fit and the part itself is so fragile, I'm reluctant to spend that amount when the main mechanism is in good working order and then to find I have the same problem in a few weeks/months time (n).

I had the same problems 6mths ago.
Bought an after-market regulator and DIY-replaced onto my Fiat Panorama.

As a precaution, I made sure not to lower the window all the way down, so as not to stress the brackets.
The replacement regulator work fine, until recently the tyre mechanic wind it down all the way, and the plastic rail guide cracked.
I am thinking how to DIY/improvise a replacement rail guide.
Meantime, jam up the window permanently closed with rolled newspapers.

imho, I prefer the OPEL Combo power window because it came with auto-stops for both the lowest and highest position.

Like to share some photos of the damaged and replacement regulator.

I've now ordered the parts off eBay from Turkey and at least the seller has got in touch saying that they have been dispatched so fingers crossed they arrive fairly soon.
