Hello.
The Doblo 1.2 instrument panel is basic to say the least. I assume bigger engined models have sensible things like a temperature gauge and rev counter as standard. Would anyone know if its possible to fit a better panel to the 1.2.
If so I will post a request for one!

Hi.
Here is a photo of the instrument panel if anyone can help.

Same as my 1.9D, very basic, not even a rev counter would be nice to spec up to the multijet spec dashes. I presume this can't be done though.

I would guess that there's a lot of software in the ECU that is simply absent in the basic version, and still wouldn't be there if you fitted the more comprehensive dash.

That's my assumption anyway.

Good point, also the temperature sensor will be different anyway, but it still is worth a try though

Well the wiring diagrams are like my instrument panel, basic to say the least!
I but the bullet and got a panel from a 2002 Cargo diesel van, it has the same long LCD panel as mine and it was only £15.
I fitted it and yes it works, all the instruments are fine as are the warning lights and I now have an open door warning which I didn't before. Of course there is a down side that the displays flashes as the mileages don't match. I believe this can be sorted by programming although I think Fiat charge £60 although it could be cheaper elsewhere.
I will let you know.

I have done 250 miles on the new panel, it has the trip computer (the basic panel doesn't) and I have done a few quick checks the panel says I am returning 40.8mpg, tank to tank 41.3 mpg, not bad accuracy for a panel not intended for the car!!
