Thanks for that. I'm very glad you like it. I even think it looks good, and the seat position is certainly a great improvement.

It IS much bigger, so it should feel larger inside. I suspect also that the seat isn't lower, but rather the side windows are higher, making it feel different.
What about the performance and the economy?

And how about getting in the back; I found it quite a heave, and seemingly with less legroom?
Also, I can't understand why they don't fit a 135hp 1.4 Multiair, to give decent oomph and good economy. The new Doblo is a very large car!

The 1.6 Diesel, although more economical than mine, offers less acceleration than my old car; not good. The big Diesel is too thirsty, and both of them are in too-high tax bands.

I agree that it is a very attractive proposition, certainly for me, but until Fiat addresses the poor performance and economy - a BMW 3 Series Diesel is in a lower tax bracket and delivers far better performance - oh, and gets the price down a few thousand and addresses the weird spec mix, I'm afraid I won't bite.

I haven't yet seen one on the road, not a single one!

Too soon to comment on economy, I havent used a tank full yet! Trip computer says high 30's though. Performance is fine, completely different (obviously) to my 1.3 mj, and am having to get used to revving it higher. But power is adequate, if not stunning!
Legroom does seem a bit less in the back, but I am finding that I don't have the drivers seat all the way back, for the first time ever, and I am 6foot3!
I guess the multiair engines will arrive in a year or two at a facelift, but I am quite happy with a proven existing engine.
As for other Doblos, I have seen one other, its mainly posh cars round here, the Doblo sticks out somewhat!

Funnily enough, I think the Dobo is quite posh. It's different, and rather handsome, in a weirdly unusual way. I haven't met one person that, having been in my car, isn't impressed by the comfort, the space and the general convenience of the thing.

Every time I get in an ordinary car I am struck by the, well, the ordinariness of the things. This includes some pretty expensive cars too. Visibility, convenience and charm count for a lot for me.

Enjoy the car, and keep us informed (y)
