Hi,
this is months old.., unless "T14086" replies soon ,
I would like to advise , =
the plastic is just a "spacer" making the two mating parts that bit closer together,
I would get an old store / credit card and glue/ aradlite that in to start with..,

let us know how it goes,

This is not an exact science, one may need one packer, and another may need two, it's really a matter of trial and error.

We used a bit of plastic from a plastic card . . . PROBLEM SOLVED!!! :-D
