The rear wiper on my 1.9 JTD seems to have a mind of it's own, When I push the stalk towards the windscreen the wiper blade does one sweep and parks at the end of that sweep ie almost vertical. When the swich is turned to the wipe position the wiper operates correctly but parks at the end of the sweep it happens to be on when I turn it off. I think it may be a problem with the relay but I don't know which one it is. The Handbook only shows the fuses but says that the wiper should flick three times then park similar to the front ones.
Also does anyone know ehere I can get a Manual for it it's a 2002 1.9 EJX JTD.
This is the first time I've used the forum so I hope I've done everything OK.

Thanks brickfoot, now all I've got to do is get rid of the thread, every time I try I get a message telling me I don't have permission. I've sent three messages using the contact us button but haven't had any reply.
Good eh!

Keep the thread, it may help other owners... afterall thats what the forum is all about isn't it?

Some of us aren't always on the machine you know ;) I've been in cornwall for the last week, with no net access...

I've never used a forum before, I thought you were supposed to delete the thread. Sorry for my ignorance. I'll leave it as it is. We aren't all experienced forum buffs you know.

It's booked in for the 27th of this month, I'll let you know how I get on and what the solution is. They seem to sgree with me that it might be the relay that's at fault.

Last (and only) time I took my car there they broke the boot release then had the nerve to charge me for them fixing it some three months after them doing so. Car will be going to Brookside in Wigton from now on, best place I've found so far :).

I'll see what happens at County this time, are Brookside good at on the spot jobs, transport back to Carlisle could be a problem if the car has to be left at Wigton.
p.s. It's looking good for United at the moment, I'm starting to get a bit worried we might make it back first time round.

Brookside are good at routine work as long as you leave it with one of the older mechanics, work gets done promptly, safely and they are cheap too. Don't even talk about the blinkin' football team, they are a source of great embarrassment right now  ;).

Helz, your right about County Motors. I took the car to get the rear wiper motor they had ordered fitted, left it, Azda for breakfastand had a walk round the industrial estate for two hours. When I got back they said they had ordered the wrong wiper motor. The one they ordered was for a Doblo with two doors on the back and mine has one. This is despite they had the car for four hours when they tried to find the fault originally. You would have thought they would have been able to tell it was a single door or am I being optamistic about them.
They are odering a new motor again, here's hoping.

Latest on wipers, guess what, the front wipers have started playing up now, sometimes they work sometimes not. They are going to change the switch, the same unit operates both front and rear wipers so with a bit of luck it should cure both faults. I still think it's a good car though, in fact I hope to be getting a new one next month.
