Engine dead, need some information..

Hi there,

Three weeks ago the engine of my 1,2Ltr, 8V Doblo SX Y.2001 suddenly starts ratteling with a loud metallic noise..
The oil pressure was down within one second and then the engine stops itself.
Impossible to drive anymore..( motorway, needed 6 hours to get home...)

Last Saturday I dismanteled the lower block and found some parts inside the oil tub..
One of the con rods ( 2 Cyl. ) is broken directly at the upper half of the bearing.
That´s it...I think it´s a risc, trying to repair this engine again.

I tried to get an used engine for that car but it isn´t easy as it looks like ..

One dealer for used parts told me that I could use an Punto engine..
The next dealer told me that it is impossible to use it cause there are not screw holes to fit the servo pump.

The car´s now 7 years old and I don´t want to spend a bigger amount to get it on the the road again.
The few Doblo engines (2pcs) I could get are very, very, very expensive..
All Punto engines are cheaper and ....there are enough on the market !

I´m really confused and always busy to search the web for more information about that shxx.

Does anyone know the differences between the FIAT FIRE engines with 1242ccm / 8V from Doblo and Punto..?

Is it possible to use a Punto engine for my Doblo ( Engine No 223A5000)
Which engine could match.( Type, Engine No )

Any information is helpful...

My location is Germany/ Berlin and I´m really, really sorry for my bad english..but I didn´t use it for a long time..
