exhaust repair kit

has anyone used any of the exhaust repair stuff thats on the market im thinking of getting some as i have a small hole in the front pipe and im finding it hard to get a part ( been waiting a week )

best on straight parts under little strain tbh

Paul been noticing your having some problems getting hold of a front pipe for your doblo.

Might have found somewhere that has one !! what exactly is it you need.

is it a FRONT PIPE? on a 06 1.9jtd ?

thats not it , i need one with 3 bolts at either end and two hangers but thanks anyway

The exhaust bandage, paste etc is a temporary repair to get you out of trouble. They can last a long time but will fail the MOT

i have got the holts flexiwrap aswell .. it says it lasts aslong as the exhaust / long lasting and its m.o.t safe

I've taken many an old banger through the MOT with Gun Gum wrapped around the exhaust. As long as it doesn't leak they'll pass it .
(unless they're getting a lot stricter these days )

Last May when I PXed my old car for the dobbin I had to get the old car MOTd. 2 days before the MOT the exhaust started blowing so I slapped a load of paste & tinfoil around the hole (as per instructions) & let it warm up. Exhaust not leaking at all, took it for the test.
They told me they couldn't pass it as it needed a new piece of exhaust, repairs weren't allowed. They were good about it though, they said if I could renew the part & get it back before end of day they'd pass it.
