A couple of days ago , I noticed that the mat in the drivers footwell was slipping about abit, thought nothing about it.
Yesterday I decided to install a cd multichanger, on running the cable for the changer I noticed that the carpet section at the very start of the centre console was wet, thats when I saw my hands were red and covered in an oily substance, which turned out to be power steering fluid. On further inspection I could see where it had been dripping from the vents of the blowers.
Previousy whenever I used the heater the windows would steam up!
Any ideas?
Could it be anything else?

I first thought it was coolant and a leaky matrix but the coolant in the system is a different colour ,(greeny blue not red)
The only red fluid is the power steering which is what made me think it was that, but it does make sense that it is the matrix because of the symptums.
I havent noticed any loss of fluids apart from the engine oil which is all over my drive.
What sort of job is it to replace the heater matrix?
I went to get a haynes manual today but they told me haynes havn't produced one yet! Is this true?
Are there any downloads which show you or can someone with the knowledge advise me.

Thanks
Jackster

See my post above!

Look under heater box for signs of coolant especially around drivers foot vent.

there's no Haynes for the Doblo.
you can buy a cd rom workshop manual on ebay but they don't cover all models so check the description carefully.

Thanks for the help & advice,
I replaced the matrix , now everythings ok .
No more puddles in the footwell!!

Thanks again

quite easy really isn't it...hard bit is remembering where all screws go:eek:

Thank god for digital cameras!

A couple of years ago a friend and I replaced the clutch in my BMW motorcycle. The bike is rather unconventional for a motorcycle - no frame as such - the front suspension is mounted to the engine, a dry clutch between the engine and gearbox, then the rear suspension mounted on the back of the gearbox. More like a tradition rear wheel drive car than a motorcycle. To get at the clutch the bike was split in half and the rear wheeled away from the front. Lots and lots and lots of pictures were taken to record screws, cable runs etc....

I confess to using camera phone sometimes.....memory aint good as it used to be:eek:

I guess you have several jobs on at once and move between them as parts become available..... I'd get totally confused in that situation without some method of recording how far i'd got with each job.

wouldn't be first time I got totally mixed up & starting working on the wrong car:eek: I watched a guy remove a dash recently & he stuck labels on various parts/made notes etc.......didn't really take him any longer and dash went back in easily, every screw & bit of trim fitted perfectly(y)
