| 04 JTD cargo MAF Hello again! Reading the posts regarding the lack of power / performance I decided to check the MAF on my van and have found that there is no difference in performance whether the cables connected or not. This would lead me to believe that the MAF is faulty as when I accelerate there does not seem to be any turbo 'kick in'. The van revs cleanly to its limiter @ 5k rpm but the acceleration is 'smooth'. The MAF seems to consist of an air float that sits in the air supply, a solenoid, a sprung membrane connected to a switch and a vacuum pipe. Nothing appears to be fouled up. My engine layout is different to that in the pictures posted elsewhere showing the MAF / EGR in that my MAF is located on the main air inlet between the air filter box (front RHS of engine bay) and the turbo. There seems to be a long material covered stailess steel pipe running from the exhaust to the manifold on the FRHS of the engine - im assuming this is the EGR pipe. Now really stupid question. Can i assume that as there is no difference in power between the MAF being connected and disconnected that the MAF is faulty? Thanks for your help Jools

Maybe it's time we made a thread I could sticky at the top of the Doblo section on this common problem

| Re: 04 JTD cargo MAF Thanks for the replies. Had the fault codes read today and the following were present. P0254 Rotor pos sens flow @ max P0110 Intake air temp circuit P0510 Flow Mod Throttle P0638 Flow mod Throttle Command. I am assuming that these are being thrown up by a faulty MAF and a faulty intake manifold air temp sensor. If these are replaced will the faults be auto deleted from the eeprom or will they have to be cleared manually? Should the vehicle respond to new parts without further computer intervention? Thanks for your time Jools
