what a t**t uh. bad news for my cinq, its guna go to the scrappies once ive stripped it. the inner arch was bent up and creased under the ecu, i didnt see it untill i put the car back together and noticed that the ecu was verry close to the bonnet. got to do my clutch on my punto now though tomorow, guna be a pain in the arse that is.

I had a 16v in my old mk2. I was trying to get myself a 6 speed for it for ages! Never got one though.

Shame about the Cinq though. Are you going to replace it or just stick with the punto?

ill just stick with the punto now, i only had it for a month and the clutch went and its been stood since, probs around 6 months its been stood. ive had it lpg converted aswell.

Well great news, clutch is all done, pain in the arse to get the gear box back in but i got there lol. so if any one is still up for the meet on saturday i can come now. let me know what times would be good for evryone, early or late im free so its up to you.

I can pick my car up today, the mechanic said hes never seen a gearbox bearing that bad in his 30 years of being a mech, hes leaving it in the car for me to see, i will upload pics lol

Oh s**t, not good. You said it was done through warrenty yeah? Then they might be able to get you a new gear box

Yeah great, more the merryer. No one has come back with what times they would like it though. Actually scratch that...the car may not be ready the it failed mot on offside trailing arm bushes and Saturday's the only day I can do it... And mots due on Tuesday so thinking about it next week might be the better option?
